The Louis XIII-style “Le Saulchoix” Castle was nonetheless built in 1679, under the reign of Louis XIV.
It was inhabited by the Knight Jacques-Louis de Gillès, and then by his descendents.
It is now owned by Mr Yves de Saint-Jouan, whose mother belonged to the Gillès family.
