This is the house where Jean Perez de Malvenda hid the Holy Blood relic in Bruges, during the religious unrest of the 16th century.
The residence was then bought by the Baron and Baroness Charles van Caloen. They bequeathed it to their daughter, Savina van Caloen, wife of Baron Alexandre Gillès de Pélichy.
